PRR Mosquito Creek Bridge

Railroads commonly followed the rivers that provided a level path and easy access to towns.

There are four bridges that cross either the Mahoning River or Mosquito Creek as shown on the 1882 map.

The bridge marked by the yellow circle is the Pennsylvania Railroad bridge that spans the Mosquito Creek as it flows into the Mahoning River.

This bridge was manufactured by the American Bridge Company of New York.
