West Park Avenue Bridges.

The historic two-span Warren Polygonal Chord Pony Truss bridge previously located at this site was built in 1948. The use of steel plate welds and bolts in its design reflected an increasing confidence in the use of welding technology for connections in highway bridge construction. Each of the spans are eighty-eight feet in length and features I-beams for the top chords and diagonals. The bridge was set on concrete abutments and a single concrete pier.

It was considered eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places by the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Historic Preservation Office in 1990. The structure was replaced in 2009 to maintain a safe crossing over the Mahoning River with increased visibility and to accomodate modern load requirements
