Edison
Junior High School
The high school contruction began on Church Street
in 1914 and it was dedicated in 1917.
In 1920, this building was renamed Niles High
School.
This school became Edison Junior High School
in 1958, when the new high school was opened on Dragon Drive.
This building was razed when Niles Middle School
on Brown Street opened in 2003.
The new high school, on Dragon Drive (previously
Trumbull Drive), was named Niles McKinley High School when it
opened in the Fall of 1957.

Construction began in 1914
The new Niles High School was built,
on Church Street between Arlington and Chestnut Avenues, because
the Central School was not large enough to accommodate the growing
student population. It was renamed Niles McKinley High School in
